Hotel Le Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa *****
At the Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa, everything has been designed and contemplated in the finest detail to restore the authentic atmosphere of this noble country residence. In a 17th century building in Torgiano, one of the pearls of the Umbrian countryside near Perugia and Assisi, the Resort has an outdoor swimming pool and has preserved the original architecture and materials of the building. Its name comes from the three ceramic wine vases that once belonged to a local Franciscan convent. The refined atmosphere permeates all the communal areas, beautified by precious works of art and elegant fireplaces, rooms that invite you to relax and rejuvenate. Yet the resort’s private Spa is at the heart of the hotel’s relaxing and restorative atmosphere. Among the first spas in Italy to practise vinotherapy, it has a swimming pool, a Turkish bath, a sauna, and a well-equipped gymnasium. The restaurant called Le Melograne, serves the best of typical Umbrian cuisine with a refined and creative twist, using locally produced seasonal products and accompanied by a selection of wines that features many Umbrian labels. The congress centre contains 7 well-equipped function rooms, 3 of which can be used for conferences of up to 200 delegates, and two of which are used for banquets, each with a cocktail bar and a capacity of up to 350 guests.
The BellaUve Spa of the Tre Vaselle Resort, was one of the first wellness centres in Italy to introduce vinotherapy, which uses the therapeutic properties of grapes for treatments that range from relaxing baths to anti-aging, draining, revitalising, anti-oxidising, purifying, nourishing and toning treatments. The spa has a wellness course that includes a heated indoor swimming pool with hydro-massage jets, the chromo-therapy Turkish bath, the sensation shower, and time in the relaxation area with herbal teas. The beauty centre offers all popular treatments for the face and body, using natural products. The resort also has a well-equipped gymnasium, with a personal trainer available for individual or group sessions when booked in advance.
The Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa has 52 rooms, available in various room types: Classic, some of which are loft rooms, Deluxe with a lounge, and Junior Suites that have a mezzanine floor, a fireplace in the living area, and a large terrace. All accommodation contains period furniture and is equipped with autonomous climate control, satellite TV, minibar, safe, and Wi-Fi internet access.
At the Melograne restaurant within the Resort, the menu includes the best dishes of traditional Umbrian cuisine, completed by a creative selection of international dishes. The ingredients used are locally produced where possible, from the cheeses to the meets, truffles, olive oil, and aromatic herbs, picked by hand from the hotel’s herb garden. Pastry, bread, and desserts are prepared by hand and the wine comes from the Resort’s vast wine cellar, which contains the best of Umbrian production as well as numerous other Italian and foreign varieties. Every three months, the restaurant hosts themed gastronomic events and cookery courses. During the warmer seasons, the buffet breakfast can be served out on the terrace.

The Tre Vaselle Resort & Spa is situated in Torgiano, a medieval village that has become one of the most famous and popular tourist attractions in Umbria to rival Perugia and Assisi. Assisi, the city of Saint Francis, draws tourists and pilgrims from all over the world to visit the Basilica that is home to the remains of the saint and frescoes by Giotto and other great artists. Yet Assisi also offers visitors Neolithic remains and the famous Rocca Maggiore, an imperial fortress erected in the Early Middle Ages and rebuilt in the 14th century after it was destroyed by the people. Perugia represents the cultural epicentre of Umbria: the ancient city is arranged into five areas known as rioni, protected by the city’s defensive walls. The Fontana Maggiore is a fountain that dates back to the 13th century, and the Palazzo dei Priori and Etruscan archaeological sites are of particular historic interest. Other small medieval villages in the surrounding Umbrian countryside include Spello, Bevagna, and Montefalco, although the whole of the Umbria region is worth exploring, rich with historic monuments and beautiful scenery that will captivate and enchant all visitors, from the national parks to the many characteristic town centres such as Gubbio, Orvieto, Spoleto, and Todi.
