Alp & Wellness Sport Hotel Panorama ****
This is a family run hotel is every way, from family traditions to family focus. The Sport Hotel Panorama offers numerous services and attractions, from a large park, bioenergetic garden and swimming pool to the association with the Art Hotel Trentino Art Holidays (for which the property hosts important seasonal or annual art exhibitions which include at least one artist from Trentino), sports facilities and programmes for the more active guests. Children are also taken care of here thanks to the nursery services and baby club ‘Giocovacanza’ which entertains young guests and involves them in all types of activities, letting parents make the most out of the holiday too.
All of this is thanks to over 125 years of experience in this sector, which can be seen in the details of the interiors, organisation and daily life of the resort which is immersed in a botanical garden that expands over almost 2 hectares.
The resort’s ‘La Dolce Vita’ spa expands over 1300m² and makes use of, amongst other things, top quality equipment, professional personnel and the benefits of oligomineral water , which comes directly from a spring . Inside the spa, which is built out of natural materials according to the principles of eco-building, guests can use the 7 heated pools , one of which is filled with sea water and made out of vitalising quartz. Four swimming pools, a pool for adults, a tub for children, the large, indoor Jacuzzi and the Grotta Azzurra tub are all indoors and overlook the park, whilst there are two Jacuzzis outdoors and one swimming pool.
The sauna area is made up of a laconium (Roman sauna with thalassotherapy), a shower with a wonder cycle, Turkish bath, blue grotto, Tyrolean sauna, ice fountain, tea area with a samovar and revitalising water, refuge of silence with heated water beds, relaxation area with a conservatory, Kneipp therapy circuit and a private spring of oligomineral water.
The beauty farm , on the other hand, offers approximately 100 aesthetic and holistic treatments and has 7 massage booths and a cardio fitness gym, and here guests are taken care of by two masseuses and three beauticians.
The resort offers 5 types of accommodation. The most simple is the Ciclamino rooms , followed by the Bucaneve rooms , some of which are part of the Art Rooms which display the association with the Art Hotel project by exhibiting works of art by artists from Trentino. The Erika Junior Suites were designed in a Tyrolean style and the facilities include a satellite television and safe. There are also Alpine Suites and the Anemone Family Suite to choose from, some of which are decorated in a Tyrolean style, and a number of other Art Rooms.
Both the local and international cuisines are served here to satisfy everyone’s tastes, and this is certainly the case since the restaurant is recognised as an ‘Osteria Tipica Trentina’ (characteristic Trentino osteria) by the Institute of the Province of Trento and uses DOP and DOC products and centuries-old experience. The dishes served at the restaurant , which boasts top level staff, are some of the highlights of this resort and the healthy and carefully thought up cuisine is complemented by a wine cellar that is stocked with over 100 labels, including regional wines and important international wines. What is more, once a week, guests are invited to tasting sessions at local wineries.
Some of the hotel’s services and facilities:
The area of Fai della Paganella , where the Sport Hotel Panorama is located, faces the Adige Valley, near the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park and the slopes of Paganella, and this has been a renowned ski resort since the 1920s. What is more, the possibility of going of excursions through the highlands or amiable walks through the centres of the areas like Molveno , Andalo , Cavedago and Spormaggiore make this the perfect tourist destination in both the spring and summer.
Some of the nearby attractions include the archaeological remains of Paganella, the alpine zoo and the museum dedicated to the brown bear in Spormaggiore and Molveno lake (where a beautiful free beach has been made).
More generally, South Tyrol offers a lot to tourists, including castles, mines, monuments and artistic and architectural points of interest in Trento and Bolzano.
