Grand Hotel Ritz ****L
A true institution in the capital’s hotelscape, the Grand Hotel Ritz has always been a favourite of those travelling to Rome on business or who want to stay in a quiet area, away from the chaos of the city centre. The hotel has recently been renovated and is located in the elegant residential district of Parioli, just a short walk from the Auditorium designed by Renzo Piano and from Villa Borghese. It is near the Stadio Olimpico and well-connected to the historic centre and the Termini Train Station by public transport. Tourists can use the shuttle bus to get to Piazza di Spagna, in the heart of Rome, or the metro system that reaches the historic centre in just one stop. A panoramic restaurant on the Roof Garden, an American Bar, an elegant tea room, a Congress centre with 5 rooms, all naturally lit with capacities of 10 to 250 guests, and a Wellness Centre with a gym are just some of the facilities available to guests of the Grand Hotel Ritz, as well as some exclusive options on request such as a personal shopper or a butler.
The Spa of the Grand Hotel Ritz, called Olympia by Musa, has a wet area with chromotherapy hydro-massage baths, sparkling beds, and cervical water blades. Massages and beauty treatments for the face and body using certified organic products can be personalised and are administered in cabins on warm quartz sea sand, which can also be transformed into private suites for couples. The Wellness Centre also contains a Turkish bath, sauna, and a gym with a personal trainer available on request.
The Grand Hotel Ritz has 103 bedrooms, including 35 luxurious suites and two presidential suites, all decorated with bright pastel colours and some with hand-painted embellishments. The room categories are: Classic, Single, Superior Single, Classic Double, Superior Double, Superior Junior Suite, Family Suite, and Deluxe Suite. All rooms and suites contain a telephone, a minibar, a safe, satellite TV and Wi-Fi internet connection. The Presidential Suites also have large terraces and one of which contains a putting green for golf lovers.
Located on the panoramic Roof Garden, the Restaurant of the Grand Hotel Ritz serves Mediterranean cuisine reinterpreted with the creativity and expertise of the chef Gaetano Costa, prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients, most of which are produced locally. The dining spaces include an indoor room for up to 80 covers, and a semi-covered patio for up to 20 people. The hotel also contains a classic American Bar, open from 10 to 23:30.

Rome is often called the world’s largest open-air museum. Between the archaeological areas of the Forum, the Colosseum, St Peter’s, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Venezia, churches, museums, and monuments, visitors can spend days and days exploring the abundance of touristic, cultural and artistic attractions in the historic centre of the city, and towards the peripheries of Appia Antica or Ostia Antica. Nevertheless, if you’re staying in the capital for longer, even the outskirts of Rome are full of things to see all year round. You can visit, for example, the Castelli Romani, Tivoli with its famous spa and Villas, or Subiaco, with its famous monasteries.
