Hotel Vita Dobrna ****
600 years of wellness tradition: the Dobrna Springs constitute the oldest spa resort in Slovenia, which continues to attract international visitors who come for the therapeutic properties of the local water. The Hotel Vita stands at the entrance to the famous Spa. It is a recent construction and has its own psychophysical wellness offer, consisting of two spring water pools, six different types of saunas, a massage and beauty centre, and more. The hotel has two restaurants, one reserved for hotel guests (buffet service) and another open to the public (à la carte), a café that offers a tasty range of sweets and that hosts live music events during the weekend. The hotel also has conference rooms, a large outdoor terrace, and spaces and services dedicated to children. A hotel and a destination with something for everyone, including the sporting opportunities within easy reach of the spa centre in the park containing tennis courts, a bowling green, and bicycle hire.
The wellness offer of the Hotel Vita is largely based on the therapeutic properties and health benefits of the local hot springs, where the water emerges at the source at between 35-36°C, and is particularly effective at treating gynaecological, urological, and rheumatic complaints, as well as pathologies and lesions of the motor system. The hotel contains pools of the hot spring water, a sauna area covering 500 square meters with six different types of sauna, Kneipp pools, a whirlpool, a massage and beauty centre for the body that also specializes in care for the hair and scalp, and a medical centre. The offer can be integrated with the facilities and services on offer at the spa, where they practice holistic and traditional oriental disciplines.
The 174 bedrooms of the Hotel Vita in Dobrna all have climate control, a private bathroom, a hair dryer, a TV, a telephone, a minibar, a safe, and Wi-Fi internet access.
The main restaurant of the Hotel Vita is reserved exclusively for hotel guests, who will find a rich self-service buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which also feature typical Slovenian specialties every Thursday in Spring and Autumn. The other, smaller, restaurant serves an à la carte menu that features a wide choice of local and international dishes, including Hungarian, Italian, and Mexican cuisine.

The hiking trail known as the "Devil’s Crest" offers spectacular views and the chance to admire historic monuments from above, including the castle of Dobrnica-Gutenek, also home to Slovenia’s largest brewery. Also in the surrounding area are the Castle of Novi Grad and the remains of the Castle of the Serpents, which for centuries was the home of the lords of Dobrna.
