Park Hotel & Spa Cala Di Lepre ****
The fact that the hotel’s philosophy is centred around a privileged relationship with nature is clear to see from the choice made to place all the rooms, both those in the park area of the hotel and those just a short distance from the beach and main hotel building, on the ground floor so they have direct contact with the earth, greenery and environment. As well as being very close to the nearby beach and providing ad hoc facilities for guests and the possibility to reach local attractions by boat, Park Hotel & Spa Cala di Lepre also boasts two swimming pools, one of which is for children, filled with precious sea water, and this water is the main ingredient used in many of the treatments performed at the spa.
The Ea Marina Spa boasts heated and unheated sea water swimming pools for thalasso circuits and aqua aerobics, a Turkish bath, sauna, gym, relaxation zone, treatment booths and a gazebo for treatments performed outside. Just like the resort, the spa is centred around harmony with nature and it truly brings out the benefits of sea water in its three main well-being programmes: thalassotherapy, hydrotherapy and hydromassage. Other treatments on offer are chromotherapy, which makes use of light and colours, massages from Eastern and Western traditions, personalised treatments using seaweed and all the typical aesthetic treatments found at a spa. Well-being packages on offer here range from those for men, the legs, the back, pregnant women, relaxation and beauty.
The hotel has a total of 160 rooms and suites which include a furnished terrace, air conditioning, satellite television, telephone, mini bar, safe box and beach towels. Guests can choose from rooms immersed in the greenery of the park (the park rooms) or the blue of the sea (the gulf rooms). Rooms are divided into standard, suite and senior suite categories, and the suites have a terrace and front patio, 2 televisions and two air conditioning units.
This hotel has two restaurants and a poolside bar. Lunch is served as a light but delicious Mediterranean buffet rich in pasta, cereals, pulses and vegetable based dishes in the main restaurant, L’Arcipelago, whilst, for dinner, guests can choose between the Mediterranean buffet served on the terrace at l’Arcipelago or enjoy the chef’s specials at the panoramic Le Terrazze restaurant (at an extra cost). Gluten-free dishes are also available for guests who are asked to request so upon reservation.
Some of the hotel’s services and facilities:
The main attractions in the surrounding area can be reached easily via boat trips, from the islands of the Maddalena archipelago to the Emerald coast and Corsica, the south of which boasts places of great charm such as Bonifacio and the island of Lavezzi. On the Emerald Coasts, the main point of interest is, of course, the wonderful and characteristic Porto Cervo and its small roads that are filled with flowers and famous squares where you can enjoy tasty aperitifs. A visit to Palau is also a must, where, during the summer, a typical little market is set up, as is the uninhabited island of Caprera which is home to Garbaldi’s house and tomb, whilst on the west coast of Sardinia you can find Alghero which gives you a great insight into the Catalan culture which has survived here both in terms architecture, as can be seen in the centre, and language. Lastly, the hinterland of the Gallura region is rich in splendid little towns nestled in beautiful mountainous landscapes, and here you can enjoy ancient traditions and a prestigious cuisine.
