The Relais Vignale can be found in the heart of Chianti, a territory renowned for the prestigious wine as well as the stunning untouched natural beauty it offers its visitors. The Relais is an eighteenth century manor which has been carefully renovated and has historical significance in the region as in 1924 it became the headquarters of the association of “Classic Chianti” and to this day is still the headquarters of the Chianti Historical Study Centre. Immersed in the style and design of the period guests can still enjoy all the modern comforts to make their stay, in one of the most internationally loved tourist sites, an enjoyable one. The hotel boasts an outdoor heated pool, a spacious garden, 40 rooms of which 5 are suites with a loggia or a terrace as well as various common areas: a room with a fireplace, a room with a TV, a multilingual library and a meeting room. In the Relais there is a restaurant which specializes in traditional local Tuscan cuisine, which can be enjoyed on the panoramic terrace during the warmer months.
The rooms in Relais Vignale are available in different types: Single, Classic, Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite and Suite, the last two boast a spacious living room and a terrace. Rooms are elegantly furnished maintaining the original rustic style and are fitted with air conditioning and climate control, direct telephone, satellite TV, minibar and Wi-Fi.
The Restaurant/ Winery/Farm Vignale is always open for lunch and dinner and proposes all of the renowned local dishes. Guests can enjoy Tuscan cuisine accompanied by prestigious wines from the region. From classic soups to grilled meat (the restaurant’s brazier is always lit), from homemade pasta to main courses with fish, the menu contains a wide, varied selection. The territory of Chianti is rich in villages and studded with towns as well as the many stops which allow you to appreciate the extraordinary local wine production and takes its place internationally as one of the most admired tourist sites. In the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Arezzo, Chianti has Greve in Chianti as its “gate” with its famous Piazza del Mercatale and the Museum of wine. From here you can reach Castello di Montefioralle, with its small village and then on towards Castellina in Chianti, where you can find the headquarters of the Archaeological Museum of Siena Chianti. Other places of interest nearby include: Barberino Val d'Elsa, a beautiful fortified medieval town; Tavarnelle, San Casciano Val di Pesa, the former residence of Machiavelli; Pieve di San Giusto in Salcio, Pieve di Santa Maria Novella, Gaiole in Chianti and Castellina in Chianti. From the Relais, you can also quite easily reach the Tuscan art cities Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Arezzo.
