Villa La Borghetta ****
Villa La Borghetta is a product of attentive restructuring, which during the Renaissance period, was the summer residence of the Piccolomini family- built next to a 14th century watchtower. Immersed in olive groves, blossoming meadows and vineyards between the Chianti and Florentine hills, the villa is situated a few kilometres away from Figline Valdarno- the most important village in the territory. Services include: an outdoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi tub, a Spa in which guests can experience massages and treatments and a Restaurant, serving specialities from Tuscan cuisine accompanied by renown wines from the local area.
Equipped with a Hammam (steam room) and a hydro-massage bath, the Spa at the Villa La Borghetta offers an ample selection of treatments (beauty) and massages to relax, tone and de-stress. Among these, the moisterizing peeling treatment with olive oil; Shiatsu massage, Brish massage with Ginger and a Hawaiin Body Treatment.
There are four different types of rooms and suites provided by Villa La Borghetta. Distributed over 3 floors, all are soundproofed and offer views of the Tuscan countryside as well as: AC, Satellite TV with Pay-TV, safe, minibar and an Internet Connection. Standard rooms are named Charme, while more spacious options are known as Romance. Privilege rooms include a Jacuzzi tub as do some of the Junior Suites, which boast a private terrace. A few minutes away from the Resort, three luxurious villas with swimming pools have been made available to those guests who wish to take advantage of the services offered by Villa La Borghetta.
Open to all, the Restaurant at Villa La Borghetta serves light lunches while dinner comprises Tuscan culinary specialities that, in the summer months, are served on the terrace, overlooking the Chianti hills. The in-house Chef offers cooking lessons (on request), revealing the secrets of renown Tuscan dishes, ending the lesson with a taster session.

Florence is only a 30 minute drive away so guests at Villa La Borghetta won't want to miss the opportunity to explore one of the most admired and visited cities in International Tourism. Other famous, Tuscan cities are easily reached: Arezzo, Siena, Gimignano, Pisa, Montalcino and Lucca. The territory of Valdarno also merits a visit; it's rich of medieval villages and historical or culinary itineraries. San Giovanni Valdarno, only 10 minutes away, hosts one of the most beautiful and oldest buildings in the area, Palazzo d'Arnolfo; from here guests should go on to see the Basilica Santa Maria delle Grazie whilst at Montevarchi the main attraction is the Collegiata San Lorenzo. Among the most characteristic villages in the local area is the Loro Ciuffenna, where you can find the oldest water mill in the region. At the mouth of the panoramic road, Setteponti, guests will come across Castelfranco di Sopra with the Arnolfo Tower, whilst the best views over Valdarno can be enjoyed from Piantravigne.
